Do you Remember the First Time You Fell in Love - Renatus Reclaimed Wood

People often ask me what is my favorite wood. I will always remember the first time I feel in love with a wood. That day I was on an adventure searching for something new and exciting. As I was searching I found this beautiful piece of wood. The board’s texture and color drew me in and I was captivated.

What I discovered was a wood called Mushroom Board. I was immediately intrigued and had to know more. Through my discovery I found that mushroom growing houses were lining their beds with hemlock boards, covering them with soil, then seedling, then pine straw. The length of growing time creates the different textures in the board, therefore, yielding a mild to heavy textured board.

Once the mushroom houses dispose of the boards, I take them, power wash, kiln dry them, and mill them into either a plank, wallboard, or flooring. We also build custom box beams and mantels with our mushroom board.

We provide mushroom board, barn wood, reclaimed red oak, reclaimed white oak, European oak flooring, reclaimed oak box beams, shiplap (pine, reclaimed red, white oak), reclaimed white oak flooring, reclaimed barnwood original face, Indonesian mix flooring, heart pine flooring, character white oak flooring, walnut flooring (steamed or unsteamed), character maple flooring, reclaimed skip planed mix hardwood flooring, character skip planed & circle sawn white oak, Indonesian mix (original face or smooth), beech (original face), shou sugi ban, heart pine, riverwood cypress, riverwood heart pine, walnut (steamed or unsteamed), specialty wallboard, custom wallboard boards, and much more!
